I've found that the company doesn't hesitate to give graduates their chance. Wolseley France is young in spirit and many of my colleagues at the Courbevoie headquarters have got significant responsibilities despite their youth.
The group dynamics are really very strong here. Company structure is perpetually evolving through mergers and acquisitions and it's really interesting to work in such an atmosphere of growth. What's important to me is to be self-sufficient, having responsibilities and, at the same time, working with other teams. Discovering problems from a different angle gives a broader knowledge of internal processes.
All newcomers have the chance to tour the company and to see what we do for themselves, such as branches that specialise in woods or materials, import sites at various ports across France, wood treatment or concrete production sites, central inventory, local administrative departments and so on.
I have recently been assigned a new mission, as part of an international top-priority project plan. In the medium term, I wish to grow either within the financial management team or at the corporate level, in an international or European environment, as the Group is organising itself in a more pan-European way. The chance to change jobs or to grow ones career abroad is very attractive to young graduates like myself.
