As at 31 July 2009 we had around 4,400 branches serving our customers with a diverse product range and reliability of service backed by the experience and assistance provided by our expert staff. Our employees and associates provide our customers with the specialist expertise and knowledge they expect and deserve.
One of our real benefits is the sharing of ideas across different countries such as branch concepts and promotional ideas, and also learning from customer experiences from around the world. A really successful example of this is the XpressNet concept - a small and conveniently located branch close to customers in urban areas that is now driving our growth in the US. This concept was originally started in France and was adopted in the UK before being rolled out across the United States.
