In most of our branches we have a counter area, sales office and warehouse. There is a great atmosphere in our branches with lots of activity going on.

Our sourcing departments are essential in ensuring we have relationships with the right vendors so we can get the right products on our shelves. The sourcing teams work with vendors on agreements and programmes which help us benefit from preferred terms and rebates based on our scale and market positions. Ferguson in the USA has successfully implemented a tool for branch managers which shows how they grade vendors depending on their profitability by category.

Our distribution centres allow us to purchase products in bulk and better service customers through reduced delivery times, broader product selection, increased fill rates and improved product availability, as well as enabling us to better manage inventory. Our distribution centres work around the clock to ensure that orders are processed and delivered within 24 hours to our customers and branches.

The showroom is where we display our product ranges to help customers select the right products for their house. This can be anything from a bathroom range or kitchen to renewable and sustainable products, lighting or wood floors. We spend time with our customers in order to help them make their decisions and advise them on alternative ranges or specifications to meet their needs.

In Stark, Denmark a new concept was introduced last year to help private house owners with their renovation projects. Stark now offers private house owners the same service and product advice as it offers its professional customers and a dedicated area has been introduced in the branch with product brochures and displays.
