OAGSilverwood is part of Importation et Solutions Bois, a division of Wolseley France and a market leader in the import and processing of timber in France.
Silverwood imports, processes, machines, treats and finishes un-treated rough sawn timber to create a high performing and durable material.
Products include exterior and interior cladding; engineered wood products; softwood for structure, joinery and roofing; panels; and decking.
As the technical performance of the product is largely dependent upon the quality of the raw material, Silverwood carefully selects the timber it uses, which is mostly from northern Europe due to its remarkable technical and aesthetical qualities.
Silverwood is committed to the long-term protection of forest resources and to purchasing timber responsibly. Silverwood PEFC-certified timber is from sustainably managed forests – Silverwood has had PEFC certification since 2005. Silverwood is also a signatory to the Environmental charter proposed by the French association, "Le Commerce du Bois".
The company is increasing the volume of certified timber it purchases year on year and sells responsibly by informing customers of the origin of its timber.
Importation et Solutions Bois is made up of four units that provide a presence in all segments of the French timber market: softwood, structural timber, exotic hardwood and outdoor products.
Other Importations et Solutions Bois brands include Sinbpla, Charpentes Françaises, Savare, Bois des Trois Ports and Cerland.
