It also announces details of a further eight acquisitions for an estimated combined consideration of approximately £171 million and restates its first half results for the six months to 31 January 2005 in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (“IFRS”). The preliminary results for the 12 months ending 31 July 2005 are due to be announced on 26 September 2005.

Mr Legtmann was appointed as Chief Executive Officer for Europe in August 2003 and has overseen the creation of the infrastructure for an integrated Wolseley European business.
