Wolseley plc, the world’s largest specialist trade distributor of plumbing and heating products to professional contractors and a leading supplier of building materials, announced today six further bolt on acquisitions for an aggregate consideration of £27 million. In a full year, these bolt on acquisitions are expected to add approximately £57 million in additional revenue.

In a full year, these bolt on acquisitions are expected to add approximately £102 million in additional revenue.

With Group revenue up 25.8%, including organic growth of 10.9%, the year to end July 2006 has seen a significant increase in profits. Record results have been achieved for ten consecutive years, a performance Wolseley Chief Executive Chip Hornsby described as "A fantastic achievement".

Wolsey has officially completed the acquisition of DT Group, first announced on 25 July. At more than £1.3 billion, the purchase of DT Group is Wolseley’s largest acquisition to date. The deal gives the company a major presence in the Nordic region and significantly broadens its European reach.

Adrian Barden, managing director of Wolseley UK, has been promoted to senior vice president at Wolseley plc, effective from 1 October 2006. It is one of the first of a number of senior appointments to establish a core leadership team from across Wolseley Group, being made by new CEO Chip Hornsby, to drive his global growth strategy.

Wolseley has signed an agreement to acquire DT Group (formerly known as Danske Traelast), the Nordic region's leading distributor of building materials, from CVC Capital Partners in a £1billion+ deal.

Claude 'Chip' Hornsby has today become Group Chief Executive at Wolseley following the retirement of Charlie Banks. Chip, 50, has spent 27 years with Wolseley's Ferguson business in the USA.
